The power of the Salvation Army is in their story—they’re so much more than bell ringers and red kettles. But with so many telling narratives, it was important to make sure each one was heard. To achieve that balance, we chose to divide the storytelling between pictures and words; we managed a three-day photo shoot to expand the Salvation Army’s existing photo library and collaborated with them to write the final copy. When all was said and done, we had a visually appealing piece that introduced the reader to all that the Salvation Army stands for and achieves each year. And even better? We printed the entire report on FSC-certified paper, making the report as environmentally friendly as it was fun to read.
